Hi, I’m Joy the hands and heart behind Pressed by Joy.
I’m a licensed beauty professional who began my foundation at Long Island Beauty School in 2013, where I developed a strong technical base in healthy hair care and styling. After stepping away from the industry to grow personally and explore other paths, I returned to the chair in 2024 with a renewed purpose: helping clients build and maintain healthy, thriving hair from the inside out.
Today, I specialize in natural hair care focused on growth, moisture balance, and long-term retention. My services are centered around strengthening the hair through intentional care, including deep cleansing treatments, hydration and protein balancing, silk press services, scalp-focused care, and protective styling designed to support healthy growth and length retention.
At Pressed by Joy, every appointment is a one-on-one, peaceful experience created to restore both your hair and your confidence. I believe healthy hair is not just about a style it’s about consistency, education, and care that lasts beyond the chair.
